Salvatore Ferragamo Shoe Resoling shoes in Ho Chi Minh City
A leather loafer resoled at the Foxpro workshop: before and after.
How Ferragamo soles fail
Leather sole thinning out
A leather sole wears from the outside in, thinning at the toe and the heel. Replace it early and only the outer sole layer is needed, with the lining and the upper untouched.
Heel tip worn down on one side
The low heel of a Vara or a dress shoe wears down on one side, so the shoe no longer stands straight. We rebuild the heel tip and renew the covering.
Sole stitching giving way
When the stitching of a stitched-sole dress shoe breaks, the sole gradually separates from the upper. Cosmetic restitching is 200,000d, sewn back through the original holes.
New leather soles for Ferragamo Gancini loafers
The Gancini loafer has a thin leather sole that wears first at the toe. The workshop takes a pattern from the old sole, cuts a new leather sole and then glues, presses and finishes the edge; the Gancini buckle and the leather upper are never taken apart. If the sole is still thick, a rubber protector is all it needs.
Resoling and restitching Ferragamo dress shoes
On a stitched-sole dress shoe the original stitching has to be unpicked before the sole is replaced, then sewn back through the original holes in matching thread. If only the stitching has gone and the sole is still good, cosmetic restitching at 200,000d is enough.
Heel repair and heel covering for Vara shoes
The low heel of a Vara wears unevenly very fast because so little of it touches the ground. The workshop rebuilds the heel tip level on both sides, does heel lining fabric repair at 450,000d once the covering has peeled, and restores the colour of the bow on the toe if it has faded.
Anti-wear, anti-slip protectors for leather soles
Vibram anti-wear sole protector, 550,000d: a thin rubber layer glued onto the original leather sole. It is worth doing straight away on a new pair - the leather sole is never ground down, stone floors are less slippery, and later on you only replace the added layer.
Colour restoration and patina work on leather shoes
If the leather upper has faded, a pair still looks old even after a resole. Leather colour restoration is 400,000d - 650,000d for scuffed and scratched leather, and on dress shoes with a patina the graded colour at the toe and heel is worked up again.
Ferragamo shoe repair: open glue lines, worn linings, mouldy leather
Re-gluing a loose sole is 250,000d for an open welt; a worn inner lining is replaced, quoted after we see it. Mouldy leather is cleaned and conditioned again, see shoe cleaning and shoe repair.
Ferragamo resoling in Tan Phu and across Ho Chi Minh City
The Foxpro workshop is at 1/56 Nguyen The Truyen, Tan Son Nhi, Tan Phu, open 8am to 6pm every day. The technician checks how much leather sole is left, the heel tip and the sole stitching, then quotes before taking the shoes in.
Foxpro is an independent repair workshop, not a warranty centre or a dealer for Salvatore Ferragamo. If a pair is still under the brand warranty, take it to the store first.

Quick answers about Ferragamo resoling and repair
How much does Salvatore Ferragamo resoling cost?
Resoling Ferragamo shoes is 300,000d - 850,000d. The stitched leather sole of a dress shoe sits in the upper half of that range, because the stitching has to be unpicked, the leather cut and everything sewn back; the technician looks at the pair and fixes the price.
Can a stitched-sole Ferragamo dress shoe be resoled the same way it was made?
Yes. The workshop unpicks the original stitching, glues on the new sole and sews it back through the original holes in matching thread, so from the outside it reads as the original sole.
My Gancini loafer leather sole is slippery - what can be done?
Gluing a thin rubber layer onto the leather sole is the neatest answer: less slip, slower wear and the original leather sole stays. Vibram anti-wear sole protector, 550,000d.
How do you repair the worn heel tip of a low Vara heel?
A heel tip worn down on one side is rebuilt level on both sides, and if the heel covering has peeled, heel lining fabric repair is 450,000d. A drooping or faded bow on the toe is restored separately, quoted after the technician has seen it.
The leather sole is worn through and the lining got damp in the rain - is it still worth saving?
It is, as long as the leather upper and the inner lining are still sound. The workshop replaces the sole, replaces the inner padding when needed, and conditions the leather again. If the lining has rotted and the leather upper is torn, the technician will say plainly that the work is not worth it.
Is Foxpro a Ferragamo warranty centre?
No. Foxpro is an independent shoe and bag repair workshop in Tan Phu, not affiliated with the brand and not representing it.
Do you collect shoes anywhere in Ho Chi Minh City?
Yes. Choose door-to-door pickup when you book: we collect in every district and deliver the shoes back when the work is done. From other provinces, send them by courier to the workshop in Tan Phu.
