Which materials we handle

The eight most common groups. If your shoes do not fit any of them, send photos and we will take a look and get back to you.

Handles water well. Cleaned with a dedicated solution and a soft brush.

Never soaked. Cleaned with a leather cleanser, then conditioned.

The most water-averse material of all. Treated dry with a crepe brush and spot cleaner.

Fine fibres stretch and pill easily, so it needs a light touch and careful drying.

The surface scratches and marks easily. Wiped with a microfibre cloth and a neutral solution.

The hardest group, because every mark shows. Soles and uppers each get their own process.

Sweat soaks deep into the insole and midsole, so it needs deodorising, not just a surface clean.

Every detail done by hand, keeping the patina and original colour intact.
